OneDrive and SharePoint

You choose per library, folder or file, or for everything. The choices are the account’s own OneDrive and the document libraries of the SharePoint sites it follows. Access to a folder or library covers everything inside it.

Permission What agents can do
Read files List the account’s OneDrive and followed libraries, list folders, search, read file details, and read Word, PowerPoint, Excel and text files as text.
Create files Create text files in a folder, never replacing an existing file.
  • Microsoft lets Minerva open every file the account can open, in OneDrive and SharePoint, shared files included. Minerva limits agents to the files, folders and libraries you allow.
  • Searches can hint at hidden files. Microsoft searches everything the account can open before Minerva filters the results, so a short page of results tells an agent that hidden files matched.
  • A folder covers what is added to it later, including files other people add to a shared folder or library.
  • New files are a way out. A file an agent creates can be read by everyone with access to its folder, and can contain anything the agent read.

Files shared from someone else’s OneDrive sit in folders Microsoft does not show. A block on an action anywhere in the connection therefore blocks it on those files too.

Agents cannot read PDFs, images, older Office formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt) or OneNote, and read only the first sheet of a spreadsheet. They cannot replace, edit, move, rename, share or delete files. A SharePoint site cannot be allowed as a whole, only its libraries.
