Google Drive
You choose folders and files in a tree. Access to a folder covers everything inside it. Minerva asks Google for read access at first, and for access to write once you allow creating files.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”| Permission | What agents can do |
|---|---|
| Read files | List folders, search, read file details, and read Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, Word, PowerPoint and Excel files and text files as text. |
| Create files | Create text files and Google Docs in a folder. |
Risks to weigh
Section titled “Risks to weigh”- Google lets Minerva reach the whole Drive. Google lets Minerva read every file in the Drive from the start. Google’s narrower permission cannot add files to folders Minerva did not create, so allowing Create files asks Google for access to change any file in the Drive. Minerva limits agents to the folders you allow, and gives them no way to change or delete a file.
- A folder covers what is added to it later, including files other people add to a shared folder.
- New files are a way out. A file an agent creates in a shared folder can be read by everyone the folder is shared with, and can contain anything the agent read.
What agents cannot do
Section titled “What agents cannot do”Agents cannot read PDFs, images or older Office formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt), and read only the first sheet of a spreadsheet. They cannot change, move, share or delete files.
